Clinton and Abedin in the Same Boat

I never planned on doing a story on Weiner-Wienergate, but it has intrigued me to the point of no return. I almost seem happy that Huma Abedin works for Mrs.Clinton in this situation, because Mrs.Clinton would be the perfect mentor for her... and it seems she is. We all remember the Monica Lewinsky scandal with Bill Clinton of course, and it seems that Huma is taking the same steps as Hillary, since the most recent pictures show her still wearing the wedding ring that Weiner gave to her. It is just sad that the pregnancy was announced during this whole scandal.
We'll keep you updated.

Breaking News: The Rebuilding of the Ottoman Empire

In January of this year, we received a set of emails showing something the world had not expected. Emails showing the close attempt by a select few to rebuild the historic and greatly infamous Ottoman Empire that had been abolished since 1922, when it was overthrown by a post-world war revolution. That group of people though, were the princes of the Ottoman Empire.

Prince Selim Djem, Prince Serhat-Daniel Gumrukcu, and to a lesser extent Prince Mahmud Osmanaglu were the attempters in the email to claim either the Bir Tawil triangle in Egypt or the Imia/Kardak Islands off the coast of Turkey based on the fact that the land was formerly in control of the Ottoman Empire and both currently hold the status of Terra Nullius, meaning that no country controls this territory and no country has rights to it, since it is disputed, unowned land.

Together the Princes chose the Bir Tawil triangle as the new homeland of the Ottoman Empire. A small stretch of land between Egypt and Sudan that is nearly the size of the Comoros or Mauritius. The Bir Tawil triangle is unique in the fact that no country claims this land at all, a remnant from the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

The plan outlined was to use international law including the succession of rights to the land and the family, the montevideo convention, UN General Assembly Resolution 1514, and numerous other laws and attempts to be sure the land was legally accepted as the rebuilt Ottoman territory. Prince Selim Djem, a writer, volunteered to his cousins to form a petition for the world to sign, while Serhat planned to use connections to work with the UN. The plan was coming together, the Empire would be back.

Unfortunately, the world newest remake of a country didn't come into being. The project was deemed too risky and the family did not take the steps to reform their empire that once held such a large influence over the world. No word on the Princes has come since the project was scrapped, but the idea lives on. Even the fact that the empire almost came back into being is truly historic. Hopefully in the near future, we will see what is in store for the House of Osman.

Bin Laden Killing Questions (Plus Reuters Photos)

I've been doing research over the last few days into the Osama bin Laden killing, and the more I hear, the less I believe. In this article I plan to outline the "sketchy" parts of the story to unveil what really happened.

1. The Reuters Photos. Photo's released by Reuters show three different men lying dead on the ground, supposedly in bin Laden's mansion. One of the photo's blatently show computer cables and wires by his head despite the O admin stating that the compund was completly cut off from phone, internet, etc. Notice the wires in the orange circle. www.quickerticker.com

2. No evidence in the form of pictures, dna results, etc have come up proving OBL to be dead. Not to mention that many members of al-Qaeda are denouncing the story. There is also now no way to tell if it is truely Osama since the body was "buried at sea."

3. Obama releases news exactly during Donald Trump's show. Despite the attack being a whole week earlier according to the Obama admin, we were not told until the exact time of Trump's (who has been attacking Obama about his birth certificate) Celebrity Apprentice.

4. According to sources within the airport and cargo companies such as UPS, security has not been increased  do to retaliation threats. Living in Louisville, Ky I have access to many UPS and airport employees, who all said nothing changed despite the Obama admin insisting that al-Qaeda will retaliate in such ways.

5. Faked photos. Senator Brown was showed faked.

Cuba: Just One Solution

Just months ago, President Barack Obama gave a speech in India stating that for each $1 Billion in exports the United States does, 5000 jobs are created. Of course the problem we face is that trade is hard to come by. Much of the world is in the same financial situation we are in, and even then it is hard to find someone who wants expensive American goods. Of course, there is always Cuba. Since 1962 the United States has held the toughest  embargo known to the world against Cuba. We have chosen that trade with this small island nation is unacceptable though trade with China, North Korea, and Vietnam continue.

Since that time, more specifically in the last few years, Cuba has replaced the President, made reforms in human rights, made economic reforms, places a non-Castro as the head of the Military, and much more. It is apparent that the government of Cuba sees their flaws and is working to reform, yet the United States makes no move at the $8.96 Billion in imports Cuba does each year. In fact, we still work against Cuba by allowing terrorist groups such as Alpha 66 to function in the United States though we claim to fight terrorism.

The increase in trade and 75000 jobs the dropping of the embargo would create are not the only benefits. Currently Cubans are allowed to drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico and also Cubans who touch soil in the United States are immediately granted political asylum. Removing this embargo would mean further exploration for oil and less immigration into the country. So many positive benefits for removing an embargo, a mere grudge we have held for nearly 50 years.

In my eyes, it is time to lower the embargo to the level of China's. In the end, we will be a better country and more financially secure and the trade would be more controlled than that which we have with China. This September the embargo will be up for renewal, and to everyone I am saying it is the right choice to lower our embargo. As a conservative America, I am saying it is our duty to allow this $8.96 Billion to come to the people of the united States. Now is the time for reform.

Tuaregs on Libya

In the past few weeks news has been building up about the civil war in Libya that has taken the world stage and seems to be on the front of everyone's mind. We at Overworld Magazine have tried repeatedly to contact the Libyan Opposition, several tribes, even Muhammad al-Senussi, the current claimant to the Libyan throne. Just a few days ago we heard back from an old friend, an anonymous Tuareg officer in the Front des Forces de Redressment, who has many Tuareg counterparts in southern Libya and has even had the chance to meet mr. Muamar Qaddafi himself. The interview that followed sheds a great deal of light on the situation in Libya, and shows a path for the countries future.

First and foremost on my mind was the actual fighting. I wanted to know how things were going, and how the rebels felt about American intervention. Despite the chants around the world for the United States to not interfere in others affairs, the Tuareg's support intervention. It evens the playing field. The Tuareg officer told me, "The Libyan opposition forces feel reassured by American and British strikes. It is clear that any rebel movement with no logistical support from a power like the U.S. is doomed to failure, especially when the enemy, like Khadaffi, heavily armed and financially powerful. So without supports Western Libyan rebel lines go nowhere." My friend went on to tell about his situation in the bordering Niger, where a similar fight for Tuareg liberation has been taking place, and explaining the difference American support could make. It seemed clear to me that even the Tuareg's, who at one point got support from Qaddafi during their fight in Mali, felt that the regime must go.

From there we went to the future of Libya, where it seems that everyone sees a bright future in a new Libyan nation. Already France and Italy have recognized the National Transitional Council as the sole legitimate government of Libya, and they only have now to create a working system to control the vast country. Several times the FFR Tuareg officer stated that Libya would become a country representing each tribe equally, and obvious scar from Qaddafi's policy of favoring some tribes over others. "A future government should be a Libyan national unity government that reflects the multicultural identity... I believe that the Libyan opposition is for a multiparty system," he told me. He sees a Libya where Tuareg's, and Toubous, Berbers, and Arabs are all equal. A country free from King or Dictator.

It has become clear to me that NATO intervention is a good thing. We have sank our millions of dollars into Qaddafi's pockets, so we are responsible for what he does to his people. From there we can watch Libya shape into a free and fair country of many tribes and peoples working together. It was my good friend's final quote that had the biggest effect on me though. Words that show the very truth behind our efforts."I want to say to the world, and especially the western world, a great bravo, because without intervention in countries where there is much dictatorship, more innocents will be killed unjustly and that human rights will be trampled all over the world. I think a lot the role played by the Americans to give freedom and hope live to thousands of people around the world."
